Get to know me
I have loved taking photos for as long as I can remember. To be honest I probably still have some undeveloped rolls of film in a box in my parent’s basement. But my passion for photography really came into play when I was in high school. I had lost someone who was very dear to me, and I saw the way myself and everyone else clung to the few photos we had of this loved one. It shifted my perspective of photos – photos were no longer just a way to take silly friend selfies (no shame, I have my fair share of these), but to preserve and document the people and moments in our lives that we will never want to forget.
Your wedding is full of these moments that you’ll want to remember, and I want to make sure it is captured in a way that feels as though you’re reliving it when you look through your album. I embrace natural lighting, and lean into more of a journalistic approach to the events I photograph.
My goal with the photos I capture is to document the moments as they happen – to really be true to living in the moment. I want you to view your photos and to be taken back in time to that moment- to feel your heart pounding as you prepare to see your bride for the first time, the sense of relief when you finally feel his arms around you, the laughter when your dog decides the train of your dress is the best place to lay down, to feel the tears swell as you relive your father walking you down the aisle, or your first dance with your spouse.
I embrace natural lighting, and lean into more of a journalistic approach to the events I photograph.

HEY THERE,
I’M ELISE –
When you choose me to be your photographer, you’re getting more than just that. From the very start, before your wedding day even arrives, I will be here to be a sounding board, to help you plan out the timeline of your day, give you suggestions on locations, and ideas for unique activities to make your day even more true to you. Once the big day arrives, I will be your hype person, the one who helps you keep your feet on the ground if you’re feeling overwhelmed. I will also keep track of time so you never have to worry about a schedule, I will be a buffer if you need someone to stand up for you and the desires for your day. I’m always sure to scout out locations ahead of time so none of your valued time with loved ones is wasted. Last but not least, I will make sure you remember to slow down and enjoy the day, not allowing the schedule take over, so you will be able to soak in what the day is truly about – a lifetime of love.
SOME OF
MY FAVORITE
THINGS
Drinking my hot tea in the mornings.
Standing on top of a mountain peak after a long hike to the top and viewing all the other mountains that surround me.
Golden hour (that final hour right before the sun sets when the light becomes super soft and makes everything look like it belongs in a fairy-tale).
Getting cozy with a good book.
Gilmore Girls and Friends. I’m obsessed and will likely be quoting them throughout our conversations.

This day is not an hours long photo shoot. Your elopement day is thoughtfully designed for you to fully immerse yourself in the experience, with me there to document the journey as it unfolds naturally. While we will set aside some time for specific portraits, the majority of the images I capture will focus on the genuine, candid moments that arise as you enjoy your day to the fullest.
-
Once you’ve filled out my contact form I’ll be in touch to set up a phone call or facetime and we’ll chat about your vision for your elopement day. If we’re a good fit and you want to move forward I will send you your personalized contract; once that is signed and you’ve paid your retainer I will send you a guide to start planning and make sure we get the absolute best possible photos of your elopement day!

At this point in time I shoot most elopements solo, but if you’d like to have a second photographer there the day of your elopement I know some rockstar photographers who I always love working with. There is an additional fee for second shooters.
